ACS Solutions France, a Xerox company, and Rigas Satiksme have established Rigas Karte in 2007 as a joint venture in order to finance, install and operate the “e-talons” e-ticketing in Riga’s public transports. From fare collection to toll solutions and photo enforcement, back-office processing to infrastructure installation, ACS provides systems and services to help its worldwide clients solve their transportation problems.
ACS Transportation solutions are found on the five continents, in Europe in cities such as Riga, Warsaw, Paris, Lyon, Nice, Zurich, Milan, Venice, Barcelona and many more. Rigas Karte is one of the few Public-Private-Partnerships in Latvia. Rigas Karte is now turning the popular “e-talons” smartcards into a multi-purpose card to serve other transportation operators but also schools and welfare services.
